Dear parents: Sleeping in is for wimps! Love, Ethan

Ethan has entered a phase where he is waking up at 6am or just after, weekdays and weekends and when he wakes up he is both really hungry and full of energy at the same time. Needless to say, sleeping in and waking up slowly on the weekends is a luxury we will just have to forget about for now.

Anyway, yesterday (Or is today still yesterday? Too early to tell!) we all hopped on a bus out to Fort Kinnaird, hopeful to find a few long sought after items. So, a shopping trip basically. First stop was H&M where we bought Ethan a few items for the summer; t-shirts and more summery onesies. Then we stopped at the shoe store and got me a pair of nice work shoes. Long overdue! My other shoes are literally falling apart at the seams.

I had also promised Shaena that we would get a projector if I got my bonus this quarter, so we went from store to store to try and get some advise on what the best value for money would be and all that, and funny (read: sadly, disappointingly, disheartening) enough, almost no one in the 3 electronics supermarkets we visited had a clue about how a projector even worked and they were not late to tell us that and as well as offer us the worst kind of customer service ever. (No, I am not ranting because it is too early in the morning and I am only half way through my first cup of coffee. British customer service is just that bad.)

Finally, we got a hold of Alan, seemingly the only guy who knew anything about these products in the whole retail outlet, and he was a great help. He laid out our options and sold us what we needed... and after testing it out last night, I think we made a great decision! It is awesome!

Other than that; we have a long weekend this weekend as I have taken Monday-Tuesday off work just so we can all hang out and do some daytime activities. We are thinking about going somewhere but have not nailed down any plans yet. We are talking about renting a car and drive or maybe just hop on a train to somewhere. We could either go up north towards Aberdeen, down south towards York, or west towards...well the west coast, or down south west towards the Lake District and Manchester. Or, we could just opt to stay at home and watch films on our new cinematography equipment!
