Perfect day in the meadows

Yesterday was one of those rare but absolutely perfect summer days here in Edinburgh. We had already scoped out ‘The Meadows Festival’ online days before and wanted to go if the weather allowed. So when we saw the clear blue sky yesterday morning, we packed our picnic bag, all our baby gear and Ethan’s tent and headed out. Down in the meadows park there was a fun fair set up complete with all the usual rides and further down in the park there were booths and tents set up where vendors sold knickknacks, clothes, food, and some just represented a cause or a charity. The general vibe of the festival was ‘hippie heaven’ and many of the visitors actually looked as if they just got off the bus from Woodstock.

We had a great time out there, just playing, snacking and hanging out. On our way home we bumped in to Alyssa, Alistair and Esme and their friends Anna and Nick and their daughter Olivia. Ethan was almost sleeping so we thought we’d join them for a little while. Maeghan joined us on the grass as well and our half day of family fun turned into a full day baby-palooza!
