Highway man, hilarious kids and a circus show...

I've said it before and I say it again: never a dull moment when you're a Harrison-Helin!

So, what's been going on? Well, I've been on the road to the south of Sweden for another CareerBuilder career fair in Malmö and also made it over to Copenhagen for a quick client meeting. It's really cool how Sweden and Denmark are now connected by a bridge and you can just hop on a train and commute to Copenhagen just like you would commute from the suburb and into the city.

Meanwhile; Shaena was manning the fort here at home and did a fab job looking after our nutty little dudes, as always. The boys had a Halloween party at dagis and they both got to wear their little astronaut outfits. Shaena had even crafted a cardboard box NASA spaceship for them! As always, the kids and Shaena have kept themselves super busy with play dates and playlands whilst I've been away.

We've also had our first individual parent-teacher meeting at dagis with the boys and we are so proud of them for getting consistent awesome feedback! According to their teachers, they are two funny, friendly, curious and very hungry boys!

What else, you ask? Well, we've hosted a few dinners too! My friend from back home in Piteå, Evelina, has just moved to the city so we had her over for a nice dinner. We hadn't seen each other in years so it was really nice to catch up, but also scary to realize how fast the years fly by! Dinner number two was for our Kiwi friend Lisa who was in town for business. We met Lisa for the first time when she was couch surfing in Dublin, and we've kept in touch ever since.

Last but not least; this past weekend, as you may have seen below, we went to see Cirque Du Soleil for our date night. Dinner at a restaurant and then off to the Globe arena for a Vegas styled circus. Sweet mother of Abraham Lincoln, was that ever a cool show! An amazing production with a huge cast, incredible staging and visual effects and death defying performances with no safety nets. We knew that the show would be good and had quite high expectations but walked away after the show completely blown away!

Never a dull moment.

Cirque Du Soleil tomorrow!

The day is finally here! Tomorrow evening, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison-Helin are heading out for a date night!

Shaena got a couple of sweet tickets to the Cirque Du Soleil Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour for her 30th and we’ve waited for almost exactly 7 months to go see this show.

Check out this trailer for the show:

Sandy took The Bounty

Last summer we had the opportunity to go see the HMS Bounty, one of the most famous movie ships of all time, here in Stockholm.

Today we are sad to read that tragedy has struck the ship as 'Sandy' the 'Frankenstorm' that is currently holding the North American east coast in a brutal iron grip has sunk the ship and at least two crew members are lost.

So much to do, so little time

Holy Toledo, Batman! The weeks just fly by! It’s already mid October and we’ve been keeping ourselves crazy busy with both work, projects and fun. As always, the iPhone camera is with us everywhere we go so here are a few highlights from this month so far. Other highlights that unfortunately never made the photo roll was an amazing Thanksgiving dinner with our Canadian/Swedish friends Karen and Erik and a super-fun and very loud brunch/let-the-kids-burn-some-energy-session with our Aussie friends Renée and Gerome.

An awesome new indoor playland opened up close to us!
The kids were stoked to their teeth!

We've found our dream house!
200 square meters of sweet homey
awesomeness... and a turret!

We went 10-pin bowling with

This one is built by the old airfield so naturally
it is airport themed. Very cool!

"Cheese!"

Yes, they are scratched already. But still really cool.

Radio silence from Camp H-H

It’s been a busy month to say the least, hence the lack of updates. Seems like the weeks have just flown by and we’ve had long days and kept ourselves more than busy with work and activities!

Shaena is doing great in her fulltime Swedish class and has taken up swimming and the boys are in full-on nitro-mode both at dagis and at home. Ethan is getting used to his new glasses as well as getting used to a brother who is now competing for the best toys. Hudson is walking more and more and he is very proud of himself! For me, it’s been a few weeks of lots and lots of work as I am involved in another sizeable website project on top of being back to working for the man, but I guess being kept busy is better than not having anything at all to do, right?

Tomorrow should be a pretty wicked day out with the kids though. There’s an open house both at the local fire station as well as one of the airports so we’ll be checking out some more fire engines and hopefully the boys will get to sit in the cockpit of a jet plane. Need I say that Ethan is thrilled? "Go see fire trucks? Go see airplanes?"

We'll also be sure to pay those five bucks to upgrade this blog finally and will get some pictures posted from tomorrow's adventures. Stay tuned...

"Bada?"

Ever since we installed the bath tub, the boys have been going crazy for bath time. "Bada" (to bath) is Hudson's new fave word and he'll ask for a bath at any given time of the day!

A nice surprise

A few weeks back we joined in the celebration of two of our boys best friends birthdays. While there, a great friend had her super awesome camera with her and took some candid shots. Wilma has talent doesn't she?! If you are ever looking to get some family portraits, maternity, little ones, or bridal shots in Stockholm...please do check out www.wilmahowells.com Keep up the good work Wilma! Here's a few shots she took of our little crazy gang!
